L/O: To review and reflect on the Y10 mock exam and set personal targets
2. Media language means:
- Camerawork
- Camerawork
- Editing
- Mise-en-scene
- Sound
- Narrative style
Videos may use a linear narrative to tell the story of the song or the performance montages to draw attention to the song or the performers.
- Videos may use contrasting settings and associated lighting, location or studio or in performance, urban or rural, exotic or everyday, to match the style of music and the musicians image.
- Hand held/stabilised, the difference between them and what effects that caused.
- Mise-en-scene, rebellious clothes/stereotypical high school clothing represents stereotypes.
3. Radio 1 have to target different audiences to meet their public service broadcasting remit.
- Eras of programming, e.g. producers of radio programmes may target an older demographic. For example through playing music from the 1960's to 1990's or broadcasting classic radio plays.
Why?
- Targeting an otherwise unserved niche audience in order to compete in market.
- Targeting a mass audience to sell to advertisers.
- Targeting a well defined niche audience to sell to advertisers.
4. The choice of media language to connote the reverence MOJO accords to musicians due to their purpose to celebrate classic rock.
- Language use such as 'Arisel Ray Davies' and the use of the term 'Legends'.
- The restrained use of colour on the front cover.

Similarities:
- Both use a range of sans serif fonts.
- There are similarities due to the genre conventions but these are outweighed by differences in media language use.

Personal Targets...
For the Music industry unit I need to revise and fully understand media language and practice using it and using key terms.
For The Lego Movie unit i need to revise the uses and gratifications and practice using them.
